Kandisa - an ancient Syrian Catholic Hymn
I've been waking up every morning to this song of Indian Ocean called Kandisa for really long time now...years .
Its just today thet I was curious about the lyrics, googled and found that Kandisa is actually an ancient Syrian Catholic Hymn in the language of Aramaic.
Aramaic is believed to have been the native language of Jesus ( the ancient language of Hebrew).
A translation of the song can be found here on zimbly mallu's post

The original hymn can be found here by the name Qadisha Alaha

All this time I had feeling it was some sanskrit type sholak.
Damn I'm a Syrian Catholic myself !
p.s: The new Indian Ocean site looks better than before and I play Maa Rewa quite smoothly now :-).
