Marriage Preparation Classes
Had gone to a Marriage Preparation Course with my better half couple of weeks back , since the church mandates it.
It was quite an ordeal so to say.
2 days - 9-6pm
Many guest speakers talked about
1) The Sacrament of Marriage
2) Sexuality, Intimacy, and Commitment
3) Communication Skills
3) Natural Family Planning.:p
4) Marriage Laws
5) Conflict Resolution
6) Experience Sharing
Well I was tuned in on and off , slept most parts, whatever parts I was awakeI found it quite interesting actually, but not interesting enough to keep me awake .:)
I did get pissed off since the Catholic church is so bloody opposed to contraceptives ??
What ticked me off was when one of the speakers said " The Church is so adamant about the no contraceptive policy that even though there are millions of people dying of AIDS in Africa , the Church still says NO.
I thought to myself "How sick is that ! and whats that to be proud of ??"
Anyways I'm just glad its over and both of us have a completion certificate :)
